Description

The Weldmark® by Victor® 1-GPP series Oxy-Fuel Size 3 Cutting Tip has a 2-1/2 inch cutting capacity. This general purpose 1-GPP series tip is two pieces with a spline insert. It is ideal for hand and machine torch cutting. It is compatible with CA2460/61/62 and CA411-1 cutting attachments, and is capable of cutting 9-14 inches per minute with an average kerf width of 0.10". It's designed for use with Mapp or Propylene. Oxy-Fuel cutting is a thermal cutting process utilizing oxygen and fuel gases to cut through metals such as mild steel. In this process, the torch heats the steel to its ignition temperature, after which oxygen is directed to the cutting point, burning it into a molten metal. A stream of gas blows the molten metal away from the work area, resulting in a clean cut.
